With the recent Men’s Philippine National Volleyball Federation Champions League (PNVFCL) last December 4, 2021 at Aquamarine Sports Complex, FEU athlete Mark “Buboy” Calado of Team Dasma brought home the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and 1st best outside spiker titles after winning against the Go for Gold-Air Force in the finals. As a token of pride and support for Calado, the FEU CSO grants him this month’s Tamaraw Pride distinction for his exuding bravery, fortitude, and excellence in his recent volleyball match.
Calado, who captained the Team Dasma Monarchs, is a member of FEU’s volleyball team, taking the position of the spiker. According to a recent interview with FEU Advocate, Calado has definitely had his battles as a student-athlete trying to balance academic excellence and court victory. He admits that instead of getting a full amount of rest after training, he still had to prioritise his studies. Despite this, the MVP is still motivated to tend to both duties as he values his scholarship.
